Prochem’s close-coupled Range

Prochem pumps of the HCC Mark II Series are of the end-suction, back pull-out design.

All components that come into contact with the handled fluid are made from synthetic thermosetting corrosion- and wear-resistant materials. Prochem pumps are used wherever traditional materials have a limited service life. The field of application ranges from general water supply to the transfer of highly corrosive chemicals. Prochem’s pumps have proven successful even under the most adverse conditions.

Our long-proven experience with synthetic materials in chemical handling and strict observance of best-practice design principles ensure that the end user enjoys the special advantages of the Prochem Pumps® range of pumps. Synthetic thermosetting resin systems CPR, BR, BL, BX, and BZ are reinforced with various fillers.

They offer high strength and stability from operating temperatures of -20 to +120 ºC, maintaining low-vibration characteristics. They have excellent resistance to corrosion for a wide spectrum of aggressive chemicals and solvents across the pH scale. They also offer very good erosion resistance against a variety of chemical-related slurries. Furthermore, the systems used are relatively lightweight, non-sparking, non-magnetic, and non-galling. They do not support bacterial growth and can be steam sterilised.

Due to the single-material concept, simple but robust design, and many other inherent features, Prochem pumps will generally outprice, outperform, and outlast many if not all major competitors supplying lined or unlined pumps in engineered plastics such as CPVC, PVC, PE, PVDF, ECTFE, FEP, PTFE, and PFA, as well as rubber-lined and -coated pumps.

On many occasions, Prochem pumps are supplied where pumps made of Hastelloy, titanium, and other exotic alloys and materials are traditionally used, leading to high capital and replacement costs.

Prochem pumps are made in a variety of alloys for specific applications where the standard non-metallic materials generally used have a limited service life.
