Prochem’s Resin Range

The Prochem® range of non-metallic, epoxy-resin pumps was developed to take maximum advantage of the key features of a group of synthetic thermosetting epoxy resins. The resins we use are characterised by excellent resistance to chemical attack, strength and hardness comparable with many metals, and good resistance to abrasion from fluid-borne abrasive substances. Our range of resins has optimal chemical resistance to the many fluids and chemicals encountered in the industries we serve.

The Prochem Pumps® product is a cost-effective alternative for many processes that would normally require the use of exotic metal-alloy or plastic-lined pumps. Equally, other more innocuous but troublesome fluids such as chlorinated water and seawater are easily handled.

All models are of the end-suction, back pull-out design. All components that come into contact with the handled fluid are made from synthetic, thermosetting, corrosion- and wear-resistant materials.

Prochem Pumps® are utilised wherever traditional materials have a limited service life. Applications range from general water supply to the transfer of highly corrosive chemicals. Prochem pumps have proven successful even under the most adverse conditions.

About our Epoxy Resin

  • The broadest range of chemical resistance for full operational coverage

  • Suitable for process temperatures from -20 to +40 degrees celcius

  • Excellent strength, hardness and resists erosion in chemical slurries.

  • Non-sparking and non-galling. Beneficial in solvent applications.

  • Does not support bacterial growth and can be steam sterilised.

  • Relatively low mass - reduced component weight.

  • Low vibration and noise due to the inherent attenuating properties of resins.

  • Low cost when compared to exotic metals and advanced thermoplastics.
